RSS (supposedly from either Rich Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication) is a protocol for sharing information, most often used to share content that changes often, like news stories or blog entries. It is an XML encoded format and there are many utilities such as the free and robust MagpieRSS PHP based reader which we are using for the example below. You can use RSS services to add content to your site, and help to make sure that your site has fresh and relevant information for users.
